Skegness Food Bank
The Food Bank provides three day emergency food parcels for those who are in need. Clients will also receive a parcel of “extras” produced from anything additional we can provide which is suitable for the client.
The Skegness Foodbank is open to everyone, however a referral is required for each parcel. Some of our registered referrers include Citizens Advice, Salvation Army and local schools.
If you area professional looking to refer a client, please send an email from from your work email address to skegnessfoodbank@thestorehouse.co.uk containing the request for a food parcel and the clients name, how many adults, how many children and ages (if applicable), if there are any allergies and if they have cooking facilities.
The Food Bank is open Monday to Friday 10am - 12pm.
The Restore Centre
The Restore Centre at the Storehouse in Skegness is a community project to help the homeless and rough sleepers within the area.
At the centre, clients can access hot meals, showers, wash and dry their clothing as well as look through our free-to-take food shelves and clothing rails.
Whilst here, clients can access our drop-ins with ELDC, Salvation Army, LRP, Community Connectors and more. They can also socialise, play board games, Xbox games and charge their phones or devices in a safe warm space.
The Restore Centre operates on a referral basis through ELDC Rough Sleeping Intervention team or the Community Connectors.
The Centre is open Monday to Friday, 12:30pm - 3:30pm.
Together
Together is a project at the Storehouse where crafts, games and conversation are shared over tea and coffee. Its the perfect place to meet people and make friends.
Hosted in our café, Together is a safe, warm space where although “We may not have it all together”, “together we have it all”.
The Project runs on a Thursday morning and starts at 10:30am.
Lunchbox 5000
Lunchbox 5000 is a community meal hosted at the Storehouse on the first Monday of the month (not including bank holidays). It takes place in the Café & warm space from 1pm.
The meal is usually three courses and completely free to everyone, although booking is essential.
The name of the project comes from the time when Jesus fed 5000 people with five loaves and two fish. After everyone had eaten, there were still twelve baskets of left overs.
